Shipping Guide

Simple tricks to fill every cubic inch and keep shipping costs low

Why It Matters

USPS Ground Advantage and Priority Flat Rate both price by size, not just weight. Pack smart and you’ll fit more flour in the same box—often shaving dollars off your total or letting you add an extra bag for free.

1. Small Cubic Box (10 × 8 × 5 in)

Perfect for first-time bakers or quick refills.

Fits SnuglyTypical Uses
2 × 4 lb sacksStock up on two staple flours.
4 × 2 lb sacksVariety pack of smaller bags.
10 × “pouch” bagsGreat for testers, gifts, or multiple specialty grains.
1 × 4 lb + 2 × 2 lbOne big core flour plus two specialty add-ons.

Tip: Once you reach three 4-lb sacks or an 8-lb bag, you’ll overflow—jump to the Medium Cubic.

2. Medium Cubic Box (12 × 9 × 7 in)

Our “Goldilocks” size—most popular for families and avid bakers.

Fits SnuglyIdeal When…
1 × 8 lb + 2 × 4 lb + 1 × 2 lbYou want the full 8-lb sack plus supporting players.
2 × 10 lbSerious sourdough bakers, this one’s for you.
4 × 4 lbRotate through four different grains.
7 × 2 lbGift bundles or lots of small-batch flours.
2 × 8 lbDouble up on your favorite.

1 × 8 lb + 4 × 2 lbBig base flour plus four accents.

Tip: If you hit eight × 2-lb pouches or more than ~24 lb total, jump to Large Flat Rate for a better deal.

3. USPS Medium Priority Flat Rate Box

Great backup when your order is too wide for cubic pricing but not heavy enough for the large box.

  • 1 × 8 lb
  • 2 × 4 lb + 1 × 2 lb
  • 4 × 2 lb

Tip: If you’re close to filling this one, it’s usually cheaper to upgrade straight to the Large Flat Rate and throw in an extra bag.
